It is not uncommon for women 60 and older who live in our area to find themselves in occasional financial difficulty. Many older women are a single emergency away from the urgent need for financial assistance — the very assistance it is NSRAW’s mission to provide.

Individual Applicant Eligibility
NSRAW prioritizes women who have limited assets and demonstrate an urgent need for financial assistance. If you meet the following criteria, we welcome your application and the opportunity to assist you:
✓ You are at least 60 years old
✓ You have lived in Amesbury, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Salisbury, or West Newbury for at least one year – or have recently had to leave the area for financial or medical reasons
✓ You have limited assets
✓ You can demonstrate an urgent need for financial assistance

Tell us your story in your own words. Just a couple of lines alerting us to a recent change in your circumstances —such as a divorce, the passing of a spouse or partner, an illness, accident, or the loss of a job, for example, — any change at all — will help us understand your situation. Thank you.
The NSRAW Board meets on the second Monday of every month to review applications for funds. Applications received after the first Monday may not be reviewed until the following month.
